Actually, it's pretty simple if you've seen one's like this. It's a single transposition. And this one even has the columns in the proper order. Note the letter distribution is good and that the capitals seem like good word starters - that should suggest a transposition. I counted 36 letters and so tried a 6x6 first - like so: TTwkoo oheTkr FerhOa iFSefn nleBFc doeole The text is now down columns, which could be in any order, but here they are in the correct order - left-to-right. And it's a lot easier to read the columns with a fixed-width font/editor (I used Notepad) than the variable spacing font here. To Find The Flower Seek The Book Of Florance. Note to anyone noticing I was much more helpful :
1) this request wasn't a challenge 2) it was a classic cipher that people typically can solve with "paper and pencil" 3) it didn't seem like a school assignment Hey, Nero is this from a book or are you on a treasure hunt or something? |

OMG, Fred, you are really good at cyphering!
I agree with your reasons for helping. This wasn't some annoying "I made this code, let's see who can break it first" thing. And he didn't get belligerent when no one responded at first. Good job with the code.
