To my Pootie, Monty, Gryhnd, and WidowMaker,

Thank you all very much for the birthday wishes. I don't think of it as another year older but as another year closer to retirement. I spent more than an hour on Skype with Kayla this morning, and that is always a treat for me. Tonight I am having dinner with my brother and his family because it's his birthday today as well. No, we are not twins; he is three years younger than I am. I bought him a chocolate cake which he had better share with me, but we will skip the candles because we don't want the fire department showing up.

Thank you for the birthday wishes, Lurker. Not only did I have a piece of chocolate cake, but my daughter and Kayla made and sent dark chocolate chip cookies with pecans. Yummy!
