Hello Everyone,

I'm at work and not supposed to be logged into this site, but what the heck, they can't fire me. I received an email from Pootie's friend this morning. Pootie is very sick with pneumonia, in addition to the other medical problems she's been dealing with. I'm very sad to say this latest infection might be too much for her in her weakened condition. Please think positive thoughts and keep her in your prayers and hope for a speedy recovery. I will let you know if I get more news. Thank you.

Good Morning Everyone,
I got another email from Donna's friend Lucie this morning. Donna slept peacefully through the night. In fact, she was so still that her sister was afraid that she had gone into a coma, so she poked her gently with a pin. She didn't awaken, but she said ouch and cursed. That's our girl. LOL! Right now her color is better, and she is breathing much better without that horrible rattling sound. All of this is a hopeful sign that she will recover from this latest infection. Lucie will print out this forum and read it to her when she wakes up. Now she is sleeping, and that is the best thing for her. Thank you all for your good thoughts and your prayers.

Donna,

So many of us are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers and hoping for a speedy recovery from this latest setback.

You've touched my own life with your kind and thoughtful words and your always-positive outlook, and you're always there for even the newest members.....no matter if you've written the same advice many times before.

We all miss you and we're waiting for your return!

Warm thoughts,

Hello Cryptogrammers,

Some good news. I received another email from Lucie, and Donna added a few lines of her own despite Lucie's displeasure that she wouldn't go immediately back to bed. She complained that mean people poked her with pins while she was trying to sleep last night. She actually said a bit more, but I don't want Stephen to censor my post. LOL! Even being gravely ill, she has not lost her wonderful sense of humor. She wants to thank all of you nice people for your kind get well wishes and your prayers. I hope she will be back soon to thank you personally, but for now, she just needs to get lots of rest.

I have an update on whats been happening.

Im just going to copy an email I sent to Lily and some friends.
Forgive me if its upsetting to any or offensive or disturbing.
Its my life at the present time, I found this out not two hours ago.
So to say Im a bit freaked is putting it mildly.

Metastatic brain tumors are the most common type of tumor found in the brain
Grade III: The malignant tissue has cells that look very different from normal cells. The abnormal cells are actively growing.
These abnormal-appearing cells are termed anaplastic. meaning the cells have the ability to grow abnormally.
Metastatic brain tumors are made of cancerous cells that spread through the bloodstream from a tumor located elsewhere in the body.
Brain blood flow usually determines where the metastatic cancer cells will lodge in the brain. Unfortunately,
the majority of metastatic brain tumors occur at more than one site in the brain tissue.(No shit)
Some symptoms are caused by swelling in the brain primarily caused by the tumor or its surrounding inflammation.
The symptoms are caused by the tumor pressing on or encroaching on other parts of the brain and keeping them from functioning normally.
Headache, weakness clumsiness difficulty walking, seizures, altered mental status: changes in concentration, memory, attention, or alertness nausea, vomiting: especially early in the morning abnormalities in vision (for example, double vision, loss of peripheral vision loss of vision in one or both eyes leading to blindness, difficulty with speech, gradual changes in intellectual or emotional capacity.)
The most widely used technique for obtaining a biopsy is a surgical procedure called a craniotomy. The skull is opened, usually with the intention of removing the whole tumor if possible. A biopsy is then taken from the tumor. <<NOT going to happen.
I have three apparently. Ranging in size, which also is a very important deal to head docs, from a pea to a walnut. Food metaphors to describe brain tumours ffs.

how am i?
not good

im sorry. i wish i had something good to say.
im in numbsville right now

Dear Pootie,
My heart just breaks for what is happening to you, and I wish that I could just give you a big hug right now. We will ALL have to face our mortality at some time, but you are way to young to have to deal with these terrible problems, Please know that many of us hold you in our hearts, and in our thoughts and prayers.....and I know that I'm not alone in wishing that there was more that we could do for you.

Warm Hugs,

Beth

No one is ever in the chat room when I'm there, so I wanted to come here to leave a message.

Pootie, I think you were the first person that replied the first time I cried "help" here. As I've told you, YOU are my hero. Just last night I was looking at your fantastic time, while keeping 100% solve rate, and I was thinking, how amazing you are.

I am so sorry to read this news. I do keep you in my prayers. I am so in awe of your gift and your ability to carry on. I will keep praying.

I wish I could say more or do more. - Gail

Dear Donna,

If it weren't for bad luck you wouldn't have any at all. I'm so sorry for this latest turn of events. As if you didn't have enough pain and problems already. You've always been the mainstay of the chat room and the forums and they won't be the same without you.

Patsy your avatar still makes me giggle. And Hi.
Oh Navelle, I couldnt win an argument right now hon, lol.
Lucky I have had so much bad luck Im able to take this better than most I guess.
Wow talk about putting a spin on something eh?
I miss talking to you in chat btw.
thanks to all that pm'd. for your help and kindness.
Abra, lol, watch that time just skyrocket in the next couple of days.
I know right, I have no cloo how its so fast to be honest.
But I have had this idea, did anyone see Phenomenon with John Travolta?
How he got really smart and could speak Portugese and move things with his mind,
figure out cold fusion etc??
Maybe theres a plus to all this, its making me realllly fast at solving.
(silver lining huh?)
Btw if I figure out cold fusion...I promise to share it with the world. And not turn into Dr. Evil and ask for a million dollars, muahhhhhhhahhhh.
Sorry I just had to google cold fusion.
Crap thats math isnt it? Yep not gonna happen.
Ok so if I start clucking like a chicken or making odd comments in the chatbox..
er...
no i see that.
Odder? Way odd. If I start making sense in the chatbox someone should let me know. Or stop swearing!!! There you go.
I really do thank you all. I may be acting like an idiot right now but its the only way I know how to get thru this.

Thanks so much. Hugs.

Dang Lily I forgot, thank you of course. And Johnny too.
My chat buddies.

Pootie, OH NOOO!!! I'm always a few days behind on checking in, so I just read all this. Please stay strong and funny. Maybe the power of cryptograms will help combat all the hell you are going through. You know you have a thousand hearts and minds pulling for you. You are our hero!
